In this application, our customer needed to orient plastic strip bases in preparation for the next phase of their assembly process. To automate the process, we designed a 27″ vibratory feeder to discharge the parts, flat with the open side up at a requested rate of 70 parts per minute (PPM). The system features a storage hopper and elevator system to meter the bulk product into the bowl, a quick dump option for fast changeovers, a tool steel track with inline drive, and a sound enclosure to reduce noise.
