In this application, a customer reached out for a custom solution to enhance their automation by improving how nails were oriented and fed to their robot. We designed a four-lane, 27-inch vibratory feeder system to orient nails vertically and feed them at a rate of 140+ parts per minute (PPM). The nails are discharged to the robot through four blow-feed outputs which are equipped with part hold-back mechanisms to ensure precise timing for part presentation.
