Situation

In this application, metal bolts needed to be oriented downward and delivered at a rate of 36 parts per minute. The system required precise part control and consistent orientation to support an automated downstream process.

Results

A 6-pocket servo-driven isolation mechanism was integrated with a vibratory feeder bowl and blow feed to create a complete, high-efficiency system. Sensors verify the orientation of each bolt: correctly positioned parts are blown through the discharge tube, while misoriented parts are rejected by air jets and recirculated. The system delivers accurate, repeatable part handling with minimal maintenance and high throughput.
