A customer needed a high-speed solution to singulate and orient 12 mL plastic bottles for an automated filling line. The system had to handle cylindrical parts at speeds up to 300 parts per minute while maintaining gentle handling and reliable orientation. Cleanability, visibility, and operator safety were also critical due to the application’s production environment.
We designed a complete centrifugal feeder system featuring a Delrin scallop track and stainless-steel drop shelves for precise part control. The feeder includes Lexan doors for visibility, locking safety switches, and LED lighting for inspection. A 28 CU FT stainless-steel hopper elevator with a non-contact low-level sensor supports continuous operation. Integrated with a 65mm FlexMove conveyor, the system offers adjustable, tool-less guide rails and powered transfer to streamline the transition from orientation to filling. The final system delivers consistent orientation at speeds up to 300 parts per minute, while supporting clean operation, easy maintenance, and safe access for operators.
