Situation

In this application, our goal is to automate a process for orienting automotive clips. Their particular shape make this task challenging to orient properly.

Results

This vibratory feeder bowl is designed with a low profile base drive, vibratory hopper with a low-level sensor and tool steel track with inline drive. The operation called for a steady and accurate flow of orientated parts to optimize their automation process.

Sensors evaluate the orientation of the parts. Correctly oriented parts proceed to the discharge tube, while incorrectly oriented parts are rejected and recirculated back into the feeder bowl.
