Situation

In this application, the goal was to automate the orientation of plastic baby bottle caps. A key challenge was handling each cap so that the open cavity faced downward, for downstream processing. The system needed to deliver a consistent orientation at a rate of 16 parts per minute.

Results

The vibratory feeder bowl successfully oriented each cap with the open cavity down and fed them onto a vibratory inline track for transfer. A storage hopper provided a steady supply of parts to keep the system running continuously. This setup improved efficiency and consistency, eliminating manual handling and improving production flow.
